WRITING WORKSHOPS

Create a Memoir

Unlike an autobiography which chronicles your life, the memoir is about a slice of your life. It can define time - such as growing up, college years or family, or special occurrences like holidays, travels or the cars that reflected who you were. Ingrid is an expert at turning piles of information into logical reading matter. If writing about your whole life is too big a task to tackle, pick a favorite life topic and she’ll guide you through the steps in creating a memoir book to share and enjoy. And yes, your memoir can include photos, recipes, and journal entries.

Sierra College Community Education (Memoir)  – IN PERSON at Roseville Campus: Saturday, February 24, 2024  10 am - 3 pm  Registration $69; materials fee on-site $20

Did you give up on writing a book after the thrill of writing the first 20 pages left you dizzy. Or maybe you got to the end of the story and were too exhausted to assemble the other pieces required to complete your book project.

You’ll get tips to ease you through the writing and assembly of the essential, but non-creative, parts of your book. In the end – you’ll know how to turn your story into a real book without feeling like you forgot something in the rush to get done.
